Back in February Google put out a request for information to help identify interested communities to test their ultra high-speed broadband networks delivering speeds 100 times faster than what most Americans have today with 1GB per second. On 3/30/2011 Google announced Kansas City as the lucky city for their high-speed Internet access and plans to start offering the service beginning in 2012. Read more here
